The Award is given to two students with the highest Predicated Grades for A Levels in their year group, and overall attitude to learning.
Gold and Silver Purbeck Young Artist Award
During Purbeck Arts Week Festival, local schools enter work in relation to a theme. I won Gold and Silver in my category of German Expressionism.
Winner of Regional Card Competition
The Local MP organised a Christmas Card Competition, which I won with a Tonal Pencil Drawing of a Reindeer.
In 2022, I was nominated by my university to exhibit at New Designers, where I confidently networked. However, I often enjoy visiting exhibitions and museums to further my interest in Design. This has included the Frieze Art Fair and the Photographer’s Gallery in London. In addition, I have been to galleries in New York, such as the MoMA and the International Centre of Photography. In 2019, I also attended talks by Arthur Mamou-Mani and Kengo Kuma.
Travelling has given me the opportunity to develop my love and skill of photography.
I am a keen walker, so in addition to walking all around the Isle of Purbeck, I have climbed several Munros in Scotland including Ben Lomond. I was also part of the Brunel University Rugby Union team, which requires dedication, strategy and communication.
